Baby Boy Photo Session

Today I got to do newborn photos of my friend Molly's little boy, Matty. He is such a little peanut. I had never done a full on newborn photo session...It was definitely a learning experience...and a really fun time to spend with the new baby! Here's what I learned-

1.) Keep a space heater turned on in the room you are working in
2.) If the baby needs to eat...he needs to eat..end of story.
3.) Play soft music or a white noise machine.
4.) Make sure the baby is completely asleep before attempting to position them.
5.) Have the mommy/daddy right there to help with positioning..accessory changes.
6.) Have all your props ready to go.
7.) Have LOTS and LOTS of blankets.
8.) Different textures and colors of blankets..fabric..pillows..rugs..hats..accessories..they make the photos more colorful and interesting.
9.) Put a heating pad on the spot you are going to sit the baby..then remove it right before placing them on the spot.
10.) Pee/Poo will happen...keep some wipes..new diapers//towels handy.

Here is a lil peek at the session ;)

I love this lil boy! (Thank you, Molly for letting me share these pics!!!!)
