The Best Cauliflower Pizza Crust Recipe

      Last year, I went grain free for almost 6 months...but I'm just going to was not all! You have to make practically everything you eat from scratch..and its time consuming..but it helped me reach some goals and feel better..don't get me wrong, I had cheat days...I had to..but they were few and far between...but once again..I'm going to try doing it...The only reason I stopped was because of the holidays...and I wasn't about to pass up pies (p.s. I love pie)...haha

    So..I had to get creative to make the things that I really was craving...number one being..Pizza! I had tried several recipes for Cauliflower Pizza Crust that were total flops...but then I came across this one..added my little spin on it and..without a doubt..this is my favorite pizza crust..ever...grain free or not...its just good! Its crispy...and the crust actually has flavor to it..and it does not taste strongly of cauliflower...just delightfulness...

1 cup of riced cooked cauliflower
2 cups of almond flour
7 Tbs.  of potato starch
3 Tbs. of Flax Seed Meal
1 Tsp. of baking powder
3 tsp. Garlic Powder
1 Tsp. Salt
2 Tsp. dried basil
1 Tbs. Olive Oil
Olive Oil Cooking Spray
Toppings of your choice

  1. Make your riced cauliflower. Use 1/2 of a fresh cauliflower and break it into pieces. Put the pieces into a food processor and process until it resembles rice. Dump the riced cauliflower into a skillet with 1 Tsp. of olive oil for 7 minutes and stir until soft.
  2. While the cauliflower is cooking, preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  3. Once the riced cauliflower is cooked, pour it back into the food processor and add the remaining ingredients. Process until well mixed. 
  4. Place parchment paper on the bottom of a pan, and very lightly spray olive oil all over it. Rub olive oil on your hands and take the pizza dough out of the food processor. Start spreading the dough all over the pan. Keep oiling your hands as needed to prevent the dough from sticking to your hands.
  5. Put the pan into the oven and bake 22 minutes(the edges should start to get slightly golden) Take out of the oven and then arrange the toppings of choice all over the crust. Bake another 15 minutes. For an even crispier crust bake up to 18 minutes.
