Over the Snow..need Comfort Food!

This weekend has been really great so far..I had the "Sip Happens" event on Friday night with some amazing bloggers! It was so incredibly fun! (Watch for my post about it February 4th).  Once again, we have a ton of snow on the ground....my scottie dogs were having a grand old time rolling around in it...

They are definitely snow bunnies....but I think all of us are pretty much over this weather..especially since my car doors keep freezing shut (whats up with that?!?).....While they were playing I was making one of my favorite breakfast...of course its not calorie free but winter time calls for comfort food!

Spicy Sausage Biscuits & Gravy

Ingredients:

1 package of HOT sausage
1/2 cup all purpose flour
3 cups milk
1 package of Pillsbury Grands biscuits
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt

1.) Bake biscuits according to package directions
2.) Cook the sausage until brown in a large pan on medium-high heat
3.) Remove sausage and drain on a paper towel covered plate
4.) Once sausage is drained add back to the pan and turn heat down to medium
5.) Mix in flour
6.) Add milk to sausage/flour mixture 1/2 cup at a time
7.) Add pepper & salt to gravy
8.) Cook in pan until thickened

Serve with hashbrowns on the side.

This is without a doubt the BEST biscuits and gravy I have ever had. Its really easy to make and so, so good! My husband was raving about it the entire time we had breakfast. You could make it vegetarian by adding Morning Star Breakfast Sausage instead of the pork sausage I used. ( If you do this make sure to add extra pepper.)

I have an extremely exciting venture that I will be embarking on very soon...(*cough* Etsy Shop *cough*)...I cannot wait to share with you guys whats up my sleeve...Have a wonderful Sunday..xoxo
